Here we go…another scripture posting…. another exclamation of how good God is…. another text instructing, if not chastising us, not to fear. I’ve sent out a few of those myself. We don’t mean to be annoying. Some are posted to remind ourselves that there is an attentive God in control. Some are posted to remind God that we know His promise of delighting in the details in our lives. As if He needs reminding. Some are posted as a form of praise, worship and prayer… “Lord we know you got us and you got this!”. And some postings are made to encourage those that need peace, protection and unconditional love…. not just during this pandemic…but, always. I post for all of these reasons.
Those that consistently see circumstances and solutions through a spiritual lense have typically been brought through something. They’ve been …we’ve been brought through something or seen something where it could only have been God who “did it”. That “something” has given us a testimony that causes us not to be ashamed of spontaneous praise and witnessing. Growing up in North Philly, I can tell stories of divine intervention that saved me and my family from bullets, predators, speeding vehicles…our own witlessness. And although my age classifies me as being in the COVID-19 high risk group, it also allows me to have a historical perspective of serendipitous events and seasons.
As you develop your relationship with God, know that He loves you through all phases of faith…even when you have little to none.
Send me a note for an idea on where to start…. John 3:16

Thx so much for this post! It’s timely in that though I think I am a faithful person…and like many, hv been sending out Scripture postings/texts to others, this pandemic has had me fighting fear and anxiety…both of which are not characteristics of faith…!! Your comments reinforce that in our Christian walk, we go through phases of faith… and are periodically forced to examine whether our faith is genuine…or just talk. (2 Cor13:5) … I believe this pandemic has moved me into a season of reflection and examination of my faith…which in the end will strengthen me and my relationship w/God… It is causing me to stay in the Word more, which reminds me of His love…calms my spirit…and gives me peace. Definitely cause for praise!!
Thank you for sharing …. This pandemic is forcing us to deal with so many issues….but, I believe the assessment and building of our faith is an incidental blessing….The hope is that we are reminded that as children of God are not to stress…regardless of external…world events. Ultimately, it is the development of an unconditional faith that is the response to His unconditional love….
Peace..

This is very timely! We do seem to be inundated with scripture postings. And while I don’t always read everything that comes my way, when I do…I find them to be “just in time” reminders that God has us in all situations! I know this to be true because I am one of those people who’ve lived long enough to have been brought through many things where only God could have done it!
Thanks for sending us another wonderful reminder!
Hey Sis!!! thank you for your insight…it’s amazing what hindsight develops in us…building that faith muscle…I’ve learned to pay attention to things small and large in my daily life….sometimes it’s immediately clear that it was God…but oft times I have to compile a series of events before I know it was Him….
Peace!!!
An excellent post, congratulations !!
